New contracts extend cricketing sponsorship for England stars MetLife is extending its partnership with England cricket heroes Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott with new bat sponsorship deals underlining its long-term commitment to working with business partners.
The contracts continue the winning run for MetLife with English cricket which now dates back to July 2008 when it first signed a ground-breaking bat sponsorship deal with Andrew Strauss which was followed by the deal with Jonathan Trott in November 2009.
England captain Andrew Strauss’s sponsorship contract will run through to 2015 while Jonathan Trott’s has been renewed to the end of the 2014 cricket season with the potential for further extension.
Both contracts cover England and county cricket with Andrew Strauss playing for Middlesex and Jonathan Trott for Warwickshire as well as promotional work with IFAs and other MetLife business partners.
The UK sporting sponsorship builds upon a long tradition of backing sport in the US where the MetLife group supports American football, golf, tennis, baseball and cycling.
